It is no secret that the bocce courts are in need of repair. We have been in talks with the town on having them conduct repairs, but the parks department is understaffed and under budget.

When asked about a timeline for the parks department to fix the courts, the answer is usually a shrug or instructions to submit a request for the budget approvals for 2027. The courts can't wait that long, and we know that our members would appreciate renovated courts, so the decision has been made for the league to fix the courts ourselves. In order to do this the board will be inspecting the courts in the coming weeks, and assessing how much a renovation would cost. To finance the renovation, a one time fee will be added to the membership fee for the summer season. Meetings with our membership have shown they are happy to pay a one-time fee to fix the courts, which we are very grateful for.
